Head on over to Tiff's parents house where we meet up. I had to toss on a rear stand so Matt could adjust the chain before rolling out:
Yes my scrawny ass still fits on that seat! Really!
Tiff meets me outside and suggests Rita take her FZR out for a spin. Unfortunately Rita had problems flat footing the bike and really didn't feel too comfortable, though:
We give Matt a crash course in adjusting the chain before we head out:
Tiff saw my helmet and couldn't stand it any more. You don't even want to know how old some of those dead bugs are! I thought cleaning just the shield was good enough but I guess it grossed her out to clean the whole thing for me:
We head out from Woodstock to Winder so I can return a Florida transponder back to Jared (Thirdgenlxi). Holy crap was it hot! I had to put my mesh jacket on since I knew it would be a lot of stop and go traffic, and I was glad I did. Temp gauge hung around 95 degrees most of the whole way.
We finally make it to Winder and we're all about wore out already!
Tiff/"Miss America" and Matt/"Kressious":
Tiff and Matt decide to call it a day here because it was pretty friggin' hot. They decide to head back to Woodstock, but I've got a few more things to do, so I keep on trucking to Snellville to pick up a front tire from Bill (Mustang). Thanks man!!!
Make it out his way and toss the tire onto the rear:
It fits so perfectly around the tailbag:
I've got a set of tires waiting for me at ValuCycle I also plan on picking up. Unfortunately due to the traffic and my horrible sense of timing, I'm running pretty late and I don't think I'll be able to make ValuCycle before they close. So I call them up to see if maybe they can put my tire outside where I could pick it up? And they say they can bring it over to Bloke's... even better!
So I head on over to Covington and meet up with Bloke and Laura. Tracy is in the area so after calling him up he swings by to hang out as well.
Bloke checking out the new Lincoln:
Here is where I pick up the other two tires I got. Now I've ridden with a tire on the back before, but not three!!! And the one that I took, I only went 3 miles of transport. I had about 65 miles to go with this on the back:
I was a little nervous but the tires didn't move an inch. It was actually a nice backrest, coupled with the throttle lock. I did get some weird looks from people though on my way home. You almost can't even see the first tire in the stack in this picture:
Thanks Bloke for letting me pick up the tires from your place, and for the test ride. Damn it was hard getting on the GSXR after that!
